Another in the Childhood Picture-A-Month series circa 1975.
Here I am with my brother Ron at around 5 years old. My mom always used the
Groom 'N Clean on my hair which we called the "greasy kids' stuff." Looks
like I may have gotten some in my eye. |

Caitlin and Devin got a chance to rock climb at a recent
birthday party. |
 |
Our church,
Fielder Road Baptist
Church, is starting a new building program. As part of this they held a
garage sale to help raise funds. It was massively huge. There were steadily
hundreds of people there all Saturday. Anyway, I saw this book sitting on
one of the book tables and it just kind of struck me funny. |
 |
Angela and the kids play on a beautiful Spring day with two
of our neighbor families. |
 |
Devin has overnight become addicted to Nintendo. Of course
he can't read, but he knows from trial and error which menus and buttons do
what. He loves Mario Party, Mario Kart, Hydro Thunder, and Mario World 64.
Don't worry, we've reduced the allowable Nintendo-time due to overwhelming
demand. But now both kids know all of the Nintendo characters better than
I do (Mario, Luigi, Wario, Peach, Bowser, Joshi, and Donkey Kong)
Hmm...which one did I forget? Email me if you know. |

1. Devin and a friend ride an electric car at Bailey
Cross's birthday party. When Devin yelled, "I've got shotgun," I didn't know
he meant it so literally. 2. Devin and Caitlin go off-roading.
3. Uh oh! Caitlin has been caught drinking and driving. Don't worry, I've
taken matters into my own hands, officer. I won't let her drive for another
10 years for this infraction and only then with a responsible adult by her
side.
I know the automobile industry is touting these new electric cars as the
wave of the future, but I have to say, they just aren't up to par in my
opinion. I don't think we could fit the whole family in there and they don't
go that fast really. |
 |
Caitlin and Bailey fell asleep playing in Caitlin's room.
Bailey was still dressed up as a fairy. |
 |
Chintz gets a warm seat on my computer monitor at Antiques
& Moore. I've started a new venture there selling antiques and collectibles
on eBay for them. We are in the development phase now and will go full-bore
in the next couple of months probably (Yes, I still have Speedsoft and
things are going great and we're busier than ever, but I get bored
sometimes. Have you ever known me to sit still for any length of time? :-) ). The
owners, Otis and Sue, keep this cat along with about 16 birds there. It
helps to liven up the day!
See our current eBay auctions. |
 |
My niece,
Sarah Baker,
graduated from UTA this month as did her fianc? Adam Boyette. Then the
following week they were wed. I sang at the wedding and Devin burped. We
were sitting there in the packed out chapel, and out of nowhere, Devin just
let out this horrendously loud burp. Everyone looked at us, and all I could
do was close my eyes and shake my head in embarrassment. |

Another birthday party with some swimmingly fun shots of
the kids coming off the slide mid-air. |

 |
Yeah, yeah, another shot of us feeding the fish at Joe Pool
Lake. Here we are with April Pellan (in the red) and her family. Angela
plucked another carp out of the lake with her hands. I know Angela can work
miracles sometimes, but here we were left with just one fish and a slice of
a loaf. |
 |
Caitlin and Tori Atkinson. |
 |
Happy Memorial Day! |
 |
We have a new bunny friend living under our deck this year.
He's just a little bitty thing, too. |
 |
Tony and April Pellan's children, Kayla, Garrett,
Bailey, and Parker swim with Caitlin and Devin at our place on Memorial Day. |
 |
And lastly, Parker was so exhausted that he passed out on
the couch by the end of the day. Yes, he really is sleeping that way. |
